Started in on the DRAGON'S TEETH revisions this morning. So there! Up to page 36 on the manuscript, nothing outrageous so far. That's out of 509 (now 508) pages of double-space. Remember, if you see a review or blurb of my stuff that says "tightly written" (thank you, Mr. de Lint) you should read that as "tightly edited." Please ignore any whining noises coming from behind the curtain.

I am being strong. Nothing on GHOST POINT today. Yet.

Two more chapters, page 69 (68). I'll reach a point where I actually have to write new stuff in another few hundred pages, and that will slow me down. So far, it's mostly tidying up and cutting excess, with a few paragraphs of backstory from DRAGON'S EYE here and there -- rehashing stuff already done.

I'm not sure why the Nice Editor Lady wants to cut some of the stuff, but that's why she gets paid the big bucks. None of it makes me bleed . . . too much.
