News update -- Second bike recovered

Neighbor Lady accosted us as we were headed out on our afternoon walk.  Her bike has also returned to the fold, none the worse for wear.  Didn't garner any repairs, but she says it didn't need any.

We will have to ask about the prospect of prosecution.

Oh yay! As you said, an advantage of living in a small town. Bainbridge Island isn't *quite* that small, but I found out last summer you don't need to call a locksmith if you've locked your keys in your car while getting groceries, just call the police... took me back to my small-town childhood, that did.

Oh, and neighbors talk to each other, and people smile and say "hi", and cars stop for pedestrians, or to let someone into traffic...
