There and back again

Last run to collect Younger Son's impedimentia from New Hampshire.  Now that I have the route down pat, with standard stops in the turnpike and all, I won't need to know it any more.  This metaphor can apply more widely...

No moose corpses this time.  Most of the identifiable remains along the road were porcupines.

Family of wild turkeys browsing in the grass, two adults and five or six poults at about small grouse size.

You picked a good day for it. It's apparently the one day this week we're not expecting thunderstorms. Me, I'll be vegetating. No work today.

"Good" is a relative term -- we had a steam bath for the ritual hauling of stuff, not a great amount of fun when cleaning out a third-floor apartment. And I had to drive through a couple of patches of rather severe rain and wind on the way home. I _think_ I heard some hail bouncing off my nice new Subaru...

But we left an empty space in Forest Park, and have heard that Younger Son and Significant Other made it to Boston alive.
