Tuesday roadkill report
Jun. 17th, 2008 02:44 pmOne gray squirrel on the mid-line of the road, barely mussed, one reasonably-intact fresh porcupine right next to last week's carcass. I don't know if that represents the grieving widow throwing herself under the wheels of a passing semi, or "Dumb and Dumber" siblings using the same trail . . .
Gap between patches of rain, large enough for the roads to dry off and allow an hour's ride. Carpe whatever. Tansy showing up here and there, also butter-and-eggs, added to the usual suspects. I think I saw a few milkweed flowers opening.
