Got rid of the infamous* 300-pound photocopier today -- maintenance guy from the nature center has a pickup truck, thinks he knows a scrap-metal guy who can profit from the mass of metal.  Plus, he was willing to help carry the lump out of the house.  Elder Son can appreciate the importance of that latter fact...

*Yes, the one that dropped a 20 pound circuit board on my foot and left me limping for a month.

Technically 275-pound, according to the spec sheet. Round numbers sound better. (Writers *are* liars, as the saying goes.)
