Well, not quite. Subscription via "frequent-flier" miles on an airline that no longer flies where I need to go.

But it's the thought that counts.

I happened across an interesting documentary last night, a history of ethno botanists tracking down hallucinogenic plants around the world. The host revisited a lot of these tribes, both in the US west, and in the Amazon. It was a reminder that colonialism and the encroachment of "modern" society upset some very stable, healthy cultures who were doing just fine without money at all.
