Rite of passages
Apr. 19th, 2008 12:30 pmWatched a bunch of people go for a swim in ice-cold water this morning (see previous posts about the departure of snow from our yard and ice from the ponds at the nature center, all occurring this week...), under camouflage of a canoe race. Zip* negotiated Six Mile Falls with his usual style, standing up in the canoe, flower in his lapel and hat in place, but numerous others failed that test.
Did not see Neighbor's yellow kayak on the water, even though it vanished from his yard suspiciously-early this morning.
*We keep track of Zip because Wife works with his sister, besides his local icon status.
