Okay, so we have a proposal for the largest Federal budget in history, with the largest Defense budget (in "adjusted" dollars) since WWII. So how come the Maine National Guard has less than half its authorized equipment? They took the stuff with them when they deployed (Iraq, Afghanistan, multiple times) and left it there.
These are the guys we count on to clean up after, like, tornadoes and floods...
Meanwhile, both parties continue to devour their own candidates. The "neocons" (hate that title) would rather have Hill 'n Bill in the White House than McCain, while Ms. Clinton and Mr. Obama seek the precise best point to insert a MK II Gerber Survival Knife in the back of the other...
