Souper Monday

The weather inspires a day of soups -- I made cheese-potato for lunch, and Wife proposes a vat of her industrial-strength pea soup for dinner.  Thus do we refute entropy.

You aren't kidding. I don't know if you like winter squash soups (unfortunately for me, I can't handle winter squash), but the Czarina has been doing a lot of experimentation with these, and she's been going nuts on new recipes for others. Everyone should have a life where one's spouse's least successful cooking experiment still gets you to go back for a third or fourth bowl.

I'm very fond of pea soup -- with a pad of butter melting in the middle, and toast cut into squares instead of crackers -- or Ritz crackers in a pinch...
