Winds gusting over 50 mph in the night, with rain.  We are above freezing.  We have achieved pavement in many strategic areas.  Hell, some grass showing in the yards along State Street, where they get sun all day.

"White Christmas" is pretty well shot -- plenty of snow still, but the exposed surface varies from brown to gray to yellow...

Here inland in northern Coös County, we got rain turning to freezing rain, but not sufficient to melt all our accumulation of snow. In fact, the snowmobilers are already out and having accidents on the snowmobile trails -- there was an ambulance call for one about two o'clock this morning. Fortunately, Himself was not on call.
