It does depend. There is the one story Alaric tells about someone who burned to death in a snowbank. The man pulled off the road because he couldn't see. Turned the car on periodically to run the heater. Car overheated and caught fire and there was so much snow piled around it that the man couldn't get out of the car.

There are very few people who have to drive _right now_ in a literal choice of life or death. Maine State Police and State DOT people are saying to stay the hell* home. It's Sunday. I keep seeing cars out there, including our neighbors...
At least around here, anybody "caught out" in this storm would have to have been incommunicado for nearly the last week. That's how long forecasters have been shrieking about the coming apocalypse...
Hell, it can't even be True Believers in a hurry to meet their God -- most church services are canceled. And few people mean it literally when they say "I'm dying to go shopping."
