Storm not yet here

A dusting of snow overnight, almost powdered sugar sifted onto the road and cars.  Light oozing into the gray sky instead of dawn.  Not much wind.

I know you're out there...

The storm is playing with us flatlanders first. Looks like about six or so inches already, with more on the way - to be followed, according to the weatherfolk, by sleet, freezing rain, and a flash freeze later tonight.

If my guesstimations are correct, Boston will beat the 2006-7 season's snowfall totals before the winter solstice. Much rejoicing for ski areas and public water suppliers.

Oh, it's here in Ottawa - they're forecasting almost 2 feet of snow before it's over, and right now I can barely see across the street for the snow and wind (nearly 11AM Eastern atm).
