Meanwhile, back at the snow

After clearing the escape pods* and emergency exits, I loaded up my skis and headed back out to the City Forest.  Fresh snow, a bit damp (we have broken the freezing mark today, shortly to revert into Ice Age overnight) so the skis got a bit draggy in spots.  Not much to report -- some chickadees in the forest, rabbit tracks, what may have been grouse tracks.

What's with a named tropical storm in December, anyway?

*That's what we start calling the Subarus about this time of year.  Comforting to know that you can just go out the side door, gas up, and drive south and west until the world gets warm...
