Sunny again

Sunshine two days in a row.  I think I may faint.

Don't let it trick you, though.  Temperature is 18 F with a stiff wind.  Ice on the puddles, and grass crunchy underfoot.

And the song of the chainsaw shall be heard in the land.  Some neighbor has decided that oil prices have gone too far.  Time for firewood.

It's one of those "net energy" equations, along the lines of figuring out whether corn ethanol produces more energy as a fuel than it consumes...
