I note that "Kindle Editions" are available for a couple of my books, on the new Amazon e-book reader.  I assume* these are licensed by the Nice Folks at Ace.  May send a note off to Nice Agent Lady, just to make sure.

*We're all familiar with the derivation of the word "assume", aren't we?

Ooops, I assumed too. Mostly because my Baen books aren't showing up. Penguin Putnam put up some resistance against going into e-formats, so when they finally did, I've found them ALL over the place.

I know where sony came out with their reader...

Tekno books contacted me for some shorts for it. When I checked on my novels, Sony had already cut a deal with Penguin Putnam for my Roc titles.

I rather wish Penguin Putnam didn't set e-format prices equal to the cost of dead tree books. Charge less, earn more net? I seem to recall this price/profit curve from my university Econ courses, back in the Middle Ages...

I just found out that one of my father's books (Spot Pricing of Electricity, which came out just after his death in 1988) is available on Kindle - but the other one (Uncertain Dynamic Systems) isn't. Of course, there are two different publishers involved here, so I'm guessing that Amazon has made deals with some publishers but not others.

If you do send a note to Nice Agent Lady, I hope you'll share the answer.
