Oct. 8th, 2007 10:11 amWe have not yet had a killing frost. For our part of Maine, pushing on into mid-October, this is getting beyond unusual. And the side-yard maple is only starting to turn. Yeah, it's a "sycamore maple", not native to the area, and thus out of sync with the seasons. But still...
We keep putting off various kinds of outdoor work because the buzzy pointy insects are still active. Don't want to brush up against an aster and find it inhabited by yellow jackets.
