In recognition of the impending equinox

I have removed the air-conditioner from our central upstairs window and schlepped it into the front storage room.  This will, no doubt, ensure record high temperatures in the near future.

Of course. As soon as I put away my winter blankets this past summer, I needed them again that night... This reoccurred several times over the summer.. put away the heavy stuff only to need it again... and I usually put off putting it back 'just in case'. *sigh*

Grmpf. I put on the heating, and all that's done was make the house more comfortable - no summer in sight.
