Howcome Live Journal inserted a rash of old RSS feed posts in the midst of my friends page?

(No, I don't really need to know the entrails...)

If the feed comes from a Blogger blog, they probably switched over from the old version to New Blogger, which has the unfortunate side effect of regenerating the whole damned feed, back unto eternity.

(Manually editing a feed after you've published it can do the same thing, I've learned, much to my chagrin...)

Not that this doesn't happen periodically anyway, but apparently they changed something about the feeds in the latest code release, possibly causing the current dumps. (Not just blogger; my flist is hip-deep in Making Light.)

One of my "rash" was Making Light.
