Tuesday roadkill report

Almost no roadkill.  Flattened turtle up on the Kelly Road, barely distinct from the pavement.

Thought while bicycling:  It's a damn shame Billy Sol Estes is dead these many years.  He and the Iraq reconstruction were made for each other.

    "Here's to a fellow who couldn't think small,
    "Here's to the biggest embezzler of all..."


And he was even a Texan.  Like I said, a natural fit.

Open letter to the driver of that fat-ass motor home towing an SUV behind me out in the bog:  If you can't wait a few seconds to avoid killing someone on the road, you don't belong there.

heehee sounds like our recent drive home on a Sunday night on I-95 South, surrounded by 95 bajillion terrori..erm.. tourists as they drove themselves out of the backwoods of Maine. We took a count and for the space of 5 miles, there were two.. count them TWO.. Maine license plates not counting our own, the rest were from Mass, NY, NH, NJ and all points south, oh and many from our neighbor to the north. Those in their uber fancy SUVs, Hummers and fancy German cars were all speeding along in the left lane, or shoved right up against my back bumper.. I could almost see them saying DAMN you woman, go FASTER.. 70 isn't fast enough!! I turn into a real pain in the butt when they do that and go *exactly* 65 mph just to see them start to twitch. *sweet innocent smile*
