Well, it would take a meltdown of truly galactic proportions for them to lose the Series. But I have watched them for decades and I have seen the depth of their commitment. I have faith. They can do it.
If they win, I'm claiming credit--and being really creeped out. I've had weird synchronicity things happening for a while now, where I would be working on a MS that dealt tangentially with some famous person or their work, and they would die while I was writing it (Most recently, Julia Child). And then the Columbia re-entry falure happened while I was working on a book that deals with a spaceship re-entry failure....
Well, the manuscript I just turned in has the Red Sox winning the World Series in 2063. *g*
But I have faith. The Cards will win the next four. The dramatic irony is too good to pass up.
