Thursday roadkill report

One shredded muskrat, out in the bog. Also shattered auto parts at a couple of intersections. Maybe the cars have killed off all the easy prey and are turning cannibal. Disturbing thought for an unprotected bicyclist out there...
Lovely morning again, temperature in the 60s F with blue sky and little wind. Blue cornflowers putting on a good roadside display. Not on the bike ride, but observed earlier, three mockingbirds in a lawn nearby, two of them begging from the third. So I guess the tyrants will continue to rule for another generation.
Rain forecast for later.
