Thursday no-roadkill report

No fresh corpses lining the highways and byways of our fair county. One of Tuesday's woodchucks remained, looking rather less pristine than before.
The rain ceased and the roads almost dried out, so I figured I should hop on the bicycle before the wet resumed. Steamy out there. Goldenrod now starting to bloom, Queen Anne's lace, and I suspect I've seen the first insidious spike of the damned purple loosestrife.
Pushed somewhat harder today, including a technique called "ankling" that involves calf muscles in the motive power, as well as thighs. We'll see what my calves have to say about this in a day or so...
