my central heating just came on - on automatic. overnight temperatures last night were almost low enough for frost.

I wouldn't be surprised if we need the furnace next week. I know the weather PTBs are forecasting a 20 degree (F) drop for the weekend.

What's weirding me out a bit is that the current temperature in Denison TX where I grew up (the post-elementary part of the process, anyhow) is actually cooler than the temperature up here. Temps in the low seventies in north Texas in late June are deeply unnatural; most years, they would be in the nineties right now.

I caved completely last night, and left mine running overnight, which I hate to do because it wakes me up every time it cuts in. (Today's low temperature, at around 5am: 82 degrees; yesterday's high was 107.)
