Herd mentality

Okay, trash collection doesn't rank high on the "Interesting topics" ratings, but it remains a social goodness.  Our normal trash day is Friday.  This gets modified now and then by the intervention of holidays.  "Now and then" would include this week, with a Monday Holiday Law relocation of Memorial Day from its rightful place.

QED, trash day would be Saturday, tomorrow.  The contractor even placed an ad in the Daily Fishwrapper to that effect.  Yet a large percentage of the households in our neighborhood have their trash bags and bins out by the curb this morning...

And I find myself twitchy that I didn't put our bag and bin out.

Baaaa.

You guys get trash collection? Wow. No fair. Here in Colebrook still have to haul our own to the dump or pay for a local freelance trash-hauler to do it for us.

Hey, this is the Big City. Biggest for a hundred miles in any direction, even.

Same for us. But Less Mess Trash collection recycles everything we put out at the curb without us having to sort it. I'm willing to pay for that. :-)
