Got out to the Pigeon Loft this morning, and they had extended the air intake and exhaust for that gas-fired boiler in the cellar.  But not above the first floor roof, which means it still can recycle its own gases there in the little landlocked court out back...

Contractor will introduce Code Enforcement to the exact conditions during final inspection, and will give me written evidence if this installation is acceptable.  Oh, well.

And I am not quite as down with that cold as I was yesterday.  Maybe I will achieve health yet.

Also stopped off at Staples to snag another inkjet cartridge, as the morning's photos of the Pigeon Loft came out a bit off-color.  Not in an off-color manner, mind you.  But.

And bought a new Logitech trackball, having decided I did not care that much for the Apple mouse, only to discover that they don't have the trackball I use on the laptop anymore, and the version they did have lacks a scroll wheel.  So the day has had its ups and downs.

How far are you from Brunswick ME? We're looking at a 1994 Suzuki Katana 600 (if the craigslist poster ever gets back to us) up there and would like to combine the trip with meeting you if that's possible.

State Highway Department claims 107 miles. I don't know whether you call that "far" or not. And I don't know if they took the coastal route or went inland to the Turnpike/Interstate, which might be longer but faster.

Well, that's about the same distance again. We'll have to see. Still haven't gotten a response from the Craigslist poster about the Katana.
Don't suppose you know anyone selling a Suzuki Katana 600 (1988 to 1999) for under $1K?

If it makes any difference, I'll be in Portland in June, "Maine Festival of the Book" -- don't know precise schedule yet, but it will be either June 23 or June 24.

We could probably make it. As long as it is a weekend. And it isn't a birthday weekend. And I just might have time to finish off something for you to hand over to someone else.
