Not actually raining much -- scattered showers so far.  Which suits Wife just fine, as she has to cope with an invasion of 5th to 8th grade nuisances at the nature center, and was rather hoping to be able to spread them around the acreage in order to minimize the impact.

Got another rejection on GHOST POINT in today's mail.  Both that and SIGNATURES twitched the same editor's racism reflex.  Hey, not all my characters are nice people.  Racism exists.  The racists in both stories are Bad Guys and die, what more do you want?

I can't work up enough enthusiasm for writing, lately.  Four books published, with decreasing sales, the market has spoken.  Two further manuscripts begging on the streets.  That's a lot of work and pain dropping into silence.

At least the drizzle is dampening down some of the pollen.

Shame some people can't deal with realism. I find stuff like that appealing in books. Makes them more real, damnit! Things aren't black and white... there are tons of shades of gray.

*mourns the unread goodness*

Just think of the glee you will feel when one of your future books hits it big and all your other books will be reissued. I firmly believe this will happen.
