I think it's worth remembering, now and then, that a bunch of traitors founded this nation -- armed rebellion against the established and recognized government. My Massachusetts ancestors didn't get hung or lined up and shot only because they _won_.

The song's about Valley Forge, but I imagine more than a few of the minutemen felt that way by the end of the first day. Trading volleys with the British regulars couldn't have been easy.
