Shoveled end of driveway, sidewalk, steps, cleared cars and around cars. As for the rest of the white crap out there, "The good Lord put it there, He can take it away when He's through with it." Snow was too wet for our snowblower, even in the fullness of its youth.

I remain convinced that Imus wouldn't have lost his job if he hadn't dissed college athletes. To hell with the black and women aspects. College athletics is a _true_ sacred cow.

Eagle-cam shows a chick in that downeast nest -- the wildlife biologists had thought the eggs had died due to our "unseasonable" weather. briloon.org.

Am attempting a full day without antihistamines and decongestants. So far, so good.

As one commenter I read put it, the combination of race, gender, and college athletics created a "perfect storm" of (richly deserved) opprobrium.

Richly deserved -- the few times I was forced to hear his show (mostly by entrapment in a space where it was playing, like a dentist's office...), I decided that he was, indeed, a total asshole. That was how he made his living. He made worse comments about people every day, and laughed, and his audience laughed with him.

Worse yet, he dissed an underdog team with a Cinderella season. Hell, if they'd won that last game, there would probably have been a BOOK written about it. I think that was the truly unforgivable sin.
