According to the evening news, 2006 was the warmest on record for our so-called city, beating the previous record by more than half a degree on the average temperature. And this without any prolonged or extreme hot spells in the summer. Too cloudy and wet for that.

We did miss the record for wettest, but not by a whole hell of a lot...

I saw yesterday that December in Baltimore was the 10th warmest December in the last 100 years. I was really surprised it wasn't closer to 1st place. Apparently there were some pretty warm Decembers back when.
