Damp, not actually raining as such. Dark enough that if I want to use the laptop computer (black keyboard, with function keys in funny places, sexy design has operational drawbacks), I'll have to turn the lights on. Desktop machine has light beige keyboard, so I can see by the light of the screen...

But I _like_ hiding out in my cave when I'm gloomy.

For the future, when you want to hide in your cave and still use the laptop, you might want to consider the fact that there are little lights that run off USB ports. One of those would probably give you enough light to find the keys you need while still leaving your feeling like you're working in the dark.

Well, this particular laptop provides two USB ports, both occupied -- trackball and printer. USB 1.0, I might add, as the machine is maybe five years old.

I'll just sulk in my cave. I find that somewhat satisfying, and appropriate to the season and weather.
