Sloppy squirrel mess

The local fancy rats are mining our snow cover for acorns. Tunnels down to the grass strata. And they haul their ore to the surface and eat it where they can keep an eye out for predators. So now we have holes in the front yard snow that are surrounded by shredded acorn shells.
