The drought continues

We haven't had rain for, what is it, seven days? Eight? I expect to see tumbleweed and horned toads any day. After that, the sandworms.

Else, very little news. Note to Elder Son -- your paternal aunt has scheduled her annual pilgrimage. You will be expected to appear during the duration. Herein fail not at your peril.

(Younger Son retains an exemption due to the stress and strain of grad school and lack of adjacency, mitigation factors increased by a Specialty Exam over the festive break. Oh joy, oh rapture...)

Now to go off and cheer for the underdogs in a couple of football games.

Okay, 10" will still leave us solidly in positive territory, relative to averages. It'll take a while for the requisition to work through bureaucracy -- you can expect results in maybe five years. Or ten.
