As the days grow longer the cold grows stronger

Air temperature 2 F, wind near calm, clear sky. That is, if you don't count the crow ruckus when I was putting out the trash bin. Several blocks away, so I didn't wander over to check, but I suspect an owl in the dim pre-dawn. Probably too early for a hawk or eagle. Anyway, cold but the record for the date is -24 F so we're getting off easy.
