Tuesday no-goose report

jhetleyGeese neither on the outward leg nor the return of my route. Too early for them to have headed south, so I am assuming they have other grazing grounds.
Roadkill included a crow that had been too interested in something in the road, and a porcupine near a farm pond about 5 miles into my ride. Also a couple of partial squirrels. Numerous woolly bears.
Most of the maples out in the bog have started to turn and some have already dropped leaves. Goldenrod in vast banks of yellow, probably yet another variety. Asters, of course.
Got out on the bike, upriver and inland through the bog and home again. Did not die.
