Still windy

jhetleyJust not _as_ windy as the last couple of days -- gusts up to 40 mph rather than 60...
Some spectacular photos in today's fishwrapper of little gems like a construction crane draped across several houses in Portland and another of a line of humongous power poles leaning on the bridge to Mount Desert Island -- Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, to those unfamiliar with Maine island names.
Wind will probably die down and ambient temperature rise for tomorrows ersatz excursion into ghasties and galies and long-leggedy beasties and things that go boomp in the night. Which is a damn shame, as we get tired with the process after about the hundred-and-fiftieth kid at our door.
Some years we have had snow.
