Interstitial weather

Windy, mixture of clouds and sun, no rain noticed lately. Tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same, before a major bitch of a storm on saturday. Take a bunch of cold air blowing down from Hudson Bay and mix it with tropical moisture (remnants of Hurricane Paul, I believe) and what do you get? Maine weather.
Meeting this afternoon, likely will check on the pigeon loft either before or after, will probably poke at the EPA laundry project tomorrow. Architecture is such a glamorous profession.
But then, so's writing. I mean, "actually writing" as opposed to "the writer's life", which seems to involve Fun, Travel, and Adventure. Along with major amounts of alcohol.

Date: 2006-10-27 12:57 am (UTC)As for other writers... like science fiction and fantasy writers -- yeah, I've seen some drinkers. Damon Knight offered me a tumbler of scotch (I think it was, it being many years ago) at around 8:45 one morning... when I was getting ready to drive him from a motel to the UMBC library. Not sure if visiting the UMBC Library for research did the "Fun" and "Adventure" parts for him...
