Monday floral change

jhetleySaw the first asters, small white variety, at a couple of points on my route that hadn't been mowed into oblivion. Lots of milkweed but no monarchs evident.
Roadkill limited to fragmentary frogs. Not-roadkill, 20 or 30 geese in or around the cemetery pond. I suspect that the grounds crew doesn't appreciate them. Haven't seen a heron persecuting the frogs yet this year.
Got out on the bike, upriver and across to the road through the bog and then home. 73 F when I headed out, 80 F now, with humidity but also with a breeze. Did not die.
