The French edition of SUMMER COUNTRY is listed on Amazon.fr as available 15 novembre 2004. That was one fast translation, and an even-faster publishing slot.

We still have a hole in the ground -- no backhoe or truckload of fill as yet.

I wonder if the french amazon is bad as the american amazon about listing bad availability dates?

Dunno about the date reliability. I got the info from my agent, who seems to have faith. The amazon.com (US) dates for WINTER OAK and the mass-market SUMMER COUNTRY are correct.

That sounds like a good source. I have been watching a couple of books in the past on amazon and come to find out that amazon was guessing the dates. Made some of the authors pretty mad as it was disappointing fans.
