Sunday roadkill report

jhetleyOne fresh porcupine on the centerline of the road about 6 miles into my ride, another on the far side, well decayed, at about 8 miles in.
Usual suspects in the floral department, with lots more tansy than I recall from past years. Must like the weather. Some milkweed pods starting to turn pale.
Judging by the aroma, at least one asphalt plant was operating on the weekend.
Rode across town and a bit further, back past the airport with no exotic birds on display, thence over hill and dale to home. Did not die. Ride takes me over 700 miles for the year. 800 looks possible, but I've given up on my usual target of 1000.
