Dances with contractors
Sep. 13th, 2004 10:13 am(Sort of like wolves, but less predictable.)
Front porch guys showed up this morning, 7:00-ish, and have torn off the skirting and dug around post bases and such. Look competent. Front steps stayed in place long enough for my client appointment at 9:15, steps gone within moments of client departure.
Foundation guys showed up more like 9:30, and they are the ones I want _done_ already, and the hole filled in before Ivan makes it this far north....
Life is interfering with writing -- got maybe 500 words in on chapter 7 so far, Grendel's mom is in deep trouble. But so is the Marine 2nd Lt. she is about to meet. (Lieutenants shouldn't be let out without keepers.)

(The tenth sergeant's reply is not publishable in a family journal...)
