Saturday roadkill report

One squashed mink (or maybe young otter) out by Mount Trashmore. At first I thought it was just another woodchuck, but the body shape was wrong, the tail too long, and the fur reddish. I was about a hundred yards down the road before connections started to spark in the old alzheimer's neurons.
Also a couple of tattered and petrified porcupines, but they count because I hadn't been over that road in the weeks since they appeared.
Rain forecast for tonight into tomorrow, so I hopped on the bike and did a route today. Humid out there, wimped out and only did about 2/3 of a normal weekend ride, but traffic is worse on Saturdays. Plus, there are all those damned yard sales, with cars parked on both sides of the road and pinching people in against poor defenseless bicyclists. If the weather allows after all, I may try a local ride tomorrow -- gotta keep those mileage stats up.
Not-roadkill report, Younger Son has reported in from Mother Russia. No mention of alarums and excursions, so maybe they got that earlier flight.
