Thursday invasive alien report

jhetleyFirst purple loosestrife blooms sighted. Also in the pest category, we have moved on to field thistles, same size blooms as the Canada thistle but single rather than bunches, and the burdock is starting to bloom. And we have the usual bumper crop of poison ivy along the roadsides.
No roadkill seen. Cormorant flapping along above the casino and woodchuck galloping across the road on one of my downhills.
Only bird of note at the airport was an air ambulance coming in to their base, probably just to refuel in between emergencies.
Got out on the bike, on the theory that tomorrow will be worse. Not dangerously hot, 78 F now, air quality okay. Did not die.
