Tuesday floral report

jhetleyCanada thistles starting to bloom, clumps of small pink defended by spines. Still a few goatsbeard open even though it is supposed to shut up at noon. Vetch everywhere.
Roadkill limited to gray squirrels, a male cardinal, a brown lump I am classifying as a juvenile woodchuck, and a smaller brown lump that could have been a chipmunk or even a sparrow -- wasn't close enough to tell if it was fur or feathers.
Weather cleared off, started to get steamy, so of course I headed out on the bike. Water not high enough to notice out in the bog. Did not die.
