Saturday post-flood report

jhetleyRoad through the bog down to a single lane, with water over the "upstream" side. Been that way long enough for the public works people to bring in a couple of trailer-mounted traffic lights to alternate the flow. I suspect blocked culverts, maybe beavers at work.
Trees mostly bare except for the oaks and beeches, plus tamaracks golden. Roadside flowers down to a couple of isolated asters and probable goats-beard.
Couple-dozen geese by the cemetery pond and maybe a dozen ducks on it. Mockingbirds singing in a couple of known mocker-zones, claiming their winter food. No roadkill.
Temperature got up into the 50s, sunny and light wind, got out on the bike again. Did not die.
