One muskrat pancake (topping optional) near the junkyard. Appropriate location, that. But I'm sure that all you demon Massachusetts and New Jersey drivers can do better by our neglected Maine wildlife.
More lupines blooming now, just the first part of the spikes but purple and pink and white all represented. Buttercups in the fields. Most of the trees are done, but the cultivated rhododendrons are starting to bloom.
As are the blackflies. I attracted a cloud of the little bastards while taking my water break on the interstate overpass.
