Wednesday roadkill report

jhetleySmall raccoon dead on the road through the bog, maybe this year's. Or somebody's tortoise-shell cat, but that area is pretty wild.
Flowers the usual summer mix, queen anne's lace and goats-beard, cornflower and goldenrod and massive banks of white sweet clover.
Got out on the bike, upriver route, and the DOT has a programmable sign saying they'll have a detour on that route starting Aug 1. Whee. That would require me to ride through the bog twice, out and back, and that's not a fun section of road. No paved shoulder, and fast traffic. I'll stick to the route across town until they are done mucking around. Anyway, did not die.
