Friday floral report

jhetleyCattail seed-heads starting to fill out, lot of cornflower and white sweet clover, more patches of wild roses, more of the ever-damned purple loosestrife. At least the lime-tree aroma has started to ebb.
No fresh roadkill to report, other than the road itself. Construction zone has sprung up at a bit past 5 miles into this route, single lane traffic with flaggers. Not sure how advanced or how long -- that's a stream culvert, and so far they are just working on the shoulder slopes on either side.
Got out on the bike before real heat slammed down, 78 F now, did not die.
