Almost wet

Showers and cool today, temperatures in the upper 40s - lower 50s. Not actually _raining_ per se, only a bit over .10" so far, but no bike rides or walks likely. Although Wife and I have been known to tempt fate by walking under threat of rain. When we were young and foolish and the world was young and foolish, we'd _choose_ to go for walks in the rain...
Fat Wizard has added another five hundred words or so to his narration. One aspect could be considered either a hell of a compliment or a demotion into chattel slavery, depending on how he chooses to look at it. Too many spoilers involved for more detail than that.
Oh, and the rain? Neighbor's house is sitting there with naught but roofing felt* between it and the precipitation. Some people do these jobs by stages, stripping off shingles a section at a time and re-shingling before moving on and stripping the next area. Not this crew. They denuded the entire house first.
And they aren't working today, because it's raining.
*Technical term for tarpaper.

Date: 2006-05-10 11:26 am (UTC)You know what I see on my bike rides? Black Vultures. I did see one dead corn snake and a whole slew of mashed squirrels (needs butter?). But we don't have the stuff you have. Never seen a muskrat in my life (jam instead of syrup). We've got gopher turtles living along the trail, but not in the streets. I heard about a bear but haven't seen one.
