Sunday roadkill report

One porcupine splatter on the Interstate next to an overpass that I use. Not sure I should report it, because it wasn't technically on my route, but it was there and it was definitely roadkill. Also, I can't recommend splattering porcupines with your car, even at considerably less than Interstate speeds. Those quills can do a royal number on your 200-buck steel-belted radials.
I wouldn't normally ride two days in a row, this early in the season, but They forecast rain moving in this evening and lasting into Wednesday. Ride now or forever hold your peace, so to speak. More wind than I think necessary in a well-ordered universe, you've heard _that_ before, but when I'm stalled down to 13 mph on a long downhill where I'm usually cranking about 25...
We'll see what the old bones have to say about this over the next few days.
