First chipmunks of spring

Afternoon walk saw one of the smaller raptors fly up and perch in the top of a ginkgo tree -- couldn't tell if it was a sharp-shin or merlin, silhouetted against the gray sky. Snowdrops not yet open. Chipmunk running along a landscape timber near the end of my route.
